Intermusica first arrived at Duncan Terrace in London's Islington quarter just north of "the City" (London's financial district) in 1988. In the intervening years it has become one of London's trendiest arts and social areas, making it one of the most desirable environments in the capital (being also just 5 minutes from the Barbican Centre and 15 minutes from the Royal Festival Hall). In 2001 we signed a new lease that will keep us here for another 10 years and at the same time have acquired more space to allow for further expansion. With a complete renovation of both the exterior and the interior, creating a new upgraded working environment for its staff, Intermusica moves into the new millennium ideally positioned for further growth and development.
The vast majority of our staff are either musically trained or continue in their own time to take an active part in music-making. As a consequence we are PASSIONATE ABOUT MUSIC. We are INSPIRED BY CREATIVITY and believe that to embrace the challenges of the future we must be COMMITTED TO PARTNERSHIP with all sections of the musical world.
So whether it is our artists, our many orchestral tours world-wide, special projects, promotions, festivals and series or the world of contemporary music in which we are extensively involved, we aim to bring people together, to be catalysts and energisers.
